Starting with 111g of yarn, planning on using some delightful ‘Green Tea’ Toho beads
Lovely pattern, I never really felt bored with it. Now I'm addicted to knitting with beads!
Sadly I cannot photograph this color very well!
this is really pretty ^.^
So very beautiful! Keep experimenting with the beads. I can only imagine that they lend weight, which in turn makes for additional movement and draping possibilities. Also I notice that where they are used up above it creates eyelets. Keep going. This is gorgeous.
Thank you so much! The beads add a nice heft to the shawl, without them, it wouldn't have the same drape at all, plus, it's fun hearing them clink against a table top
Well done! Congrats on the DD
What a beauty
There is something beautifully fractalesque about your shawls. Excellent work, and congratulations on the DD!
Thank you very much! I love making fractals, and I can see the resemblance on the edging here, similar to the Mandelbrot set
So lovely! Is there a slight variation in the color of the yarn? The beads are a terrific accent! I admire people who can knit or crochet. I do beadweaving but I can neither knit nor crochet! Congrats on the DD!
Thank you! Yes, the yarn is slightly variegated, so it has lots of different purple tones in it. I used to know a little bit about beadweaving once upon a time... maybe I'll give it a try again! I'm sure you could pick up knitting or crocheting easily
This is so beautiful! I like knitting, but could never do anything this cool! Excellent work!
Thank you so much I thought the same when I first started knitting- it just takes (lots) of practice! Keep at it
Oh my goodness, such amazing work! Congratulations on your DD!
Great idea, and the colors are just brilliant.
Wow, very amazing piece!!! Knitted shawls are always so delicate and beautiful, this is no exception
This is absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful! I love the color
This is really beautiful! Nice work!
wow, that's so beautiful!! It looks so neat and the beads in it are really great!
Really gorgeous shawl! I have yet to attempt knitting with beads, so I'm rather impressed that you like it.
Thank you Knitting with beads isn't really too difficult (I used the crochet hook method), you just need some patience since it will slow you down. I'll admit, by the last row, it was really testing me. Give it a try, it's really worth the effort! I couldn't capture in a photograph how nicely the beads sparkle in the light ^_^
